Freight Bill Auditor

Full-Time, Onsite, 1 YR contract+Extension

Pay Rate: $21~$25/hr l Work Hours: 09:00 AM-6:00 PM


Required Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks and shift focus to urgent issues without falling behind on other responsibilities.

  • Well-organized with strong follow-up skills.

  • Ability to recognize urgency and escalate issues when necessary.

  • Skilled in building and maintaining professional relationships with customers and carriers.


Education and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Relevant work experience may be considered in place of a degree.


Responsibilities

  • Process customer billing accurately and within the required timeframe, ensuring compliance with company policies and customer-specific requirements across various divisions.

  • Manage, analyze, and prepare correction forms for billing adjustments using the Access database.

  • Review and interpret essential freight documentation to validate invoiced charges and ensure payment processing.

  • Understand how billing functions impact profit and loss (P&L).

  • Audit carrier freight bills and interpret tariffs and contracts to ensure accuracy.

  • Utilize internal technologies required for daily billing operations.

  • Investigate and resolve potential errors, including duplicate carrier billing.

  • Generate ad-hoc reports as needed.

  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

  • Remain flexible and available for overtime when required.
